Farm by the lake was gifted to be a 501c3 in 1983 from Bagley native Richard C. Davids, naturalist, author, editor, and teacher. Richard wanted Farm by the Lake to provide a space where “we can find renewal with the land, with another and with God.” He stated, “Before God made man, he created a garden. I want to convert people to love nature in hopes they’ll then do the right thing.
The mission of The Farm By The Lake is to be a natural retreat that offers visitors the opportunity to increase their understanding of themselves, their spirituality, their community and their connection to the environment.
